Below, I’ll be outlining 8 specific prompts you can use with ChatGPT to position yourself as a credible, experienced authority in your niche — even when you feel like you’re not.

Whether you’re a ghostwriter looking to learn the specifics of a certain industry, or a legitimate authority wanting to keep your finger on the pulse, these prompts will assert you as a credible figure in your social media content.

Prompt: What are 3 takeaways from each of the 10 highest rated [topic] books of all time?

Prompt: What are the [number] most hidden industry secrets within the [niche] business?

Note: It will deny it’s own credibility, but then provide answers you can use as a jumping off point.

Prompt: What is the most famous lesson from each of the 10 most recognized thinkers in the [topic] industry? Please provide the person’s name and their most famous lesson for each one.

Prompt: Build a reader persona for a [niche topic]

This allows you to know who you’re talking to as an authority figure.

Prompt: List out the [number] most common mistakes within a particular [niche]

Prompt: Write a 60 second video script on how to [difficult topic within niche]

Prompt: Write an email to a team of employees in a digital marketing company on how to [difficult topic within niche]

Note: This one’s great for getting into the voice of a CEO or other authority figure.

Prompt: Write landing page copy for [service that solves a specific problem]

• Use these prompts to self-educate, don’t just copy and paste.

• ChatGPT is great for curating complex information, but real authority figures know how to connect with their audience on an emotional level. Make sure you do this if you want to be respected in your niche.

• Continue re-prompting to get more specialized, niche-specific information out of ChatGPT. The best content usually comes from 3-4 additional prompting exercises after the initial generation.
