Once you cross the 2000 follower mark things start to get a little easier.
But don’t relax now.
This is when the growth can start to compound.
Here’s your strategy to go from 2,000 to 5,000:
Daily:
- 3-4 tweets
- 10 DMs
Weekly:
- 2-4 threads
- 1 Auto DM
3-4 tweets per Day
We keep posting the same amount of tweets.
Here you can start engaging more with your audience (now that you have one).
Besides posting:
- Actionable advice
- Personal experiences
- Resources you find useful
You can also start posting:
- Questions + Polls
- Case studies + results
- Polarizing tweets to spark a conversation (your hot takes, unpopular opinions, etc)
2-4 threads per week
The more valuable threads you post = The faster you'll grow.
But I understand that not everyone has the time to write 4 threads per week.
So keep posting 2 if that's your case.
Types of threads you can write:
- List threads
- How-to threads
- Story threads
- Case Study threads
The difference between this step and step #1 is that now we need to mix your story with the value.
1 Auto DM per Week
I don't recommend posting AutoDMs if you have less than 2000 followers because you don't have any authority.
10 followers account: “I made $100k with this sales framework”
People: yeah sure buddy
2,000 followers account: “I made $100k with this sales framework”
People: OMG I need it
Make 1 valuable guide per week.
You can use Google docs or Notion (like this one)
Ask people to
- Like + Comment
- RT + Comment
- RT + Like + Comment
I like #1 but you should test all 3.
Automate this with Hypefury or TweetHunter.
10-15 comments per day
We’ll cut down from 30 comments to 15 comments this time.
And focus more on building connections.
Don’t comment just for the sake of commenting.
Engage with accounts of all sizes you actually like and build some cool connections.
10 DMs a day
Now that you have some authority is a good idea to start sending some DMs.
To big accounts: To build connections.
To accounts your size: To grow together.
To accounts that you like: To make friends.
To prospects: If you have a service, you can start offering it in the DMs.
