Now, this is crucial and it is one of the fastest ways to come up with a good offer. Modeling. If you’ve read my tweets you know I always say I made more money by modeling other things that work than by learning theory, scripts, etc. The concept of modeling helps you understand certain patterns. It helps you see what’s working right now. And why is it working. When I started with my newest agency I copied the landing page structure from other people. Obviously, I changed the entire offer, wording, etc. But at least, I already had a structure that I knew it was working because the biz I modeled was making a lot of money. I also modeled some strategies they were using to pitch their services. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel or try to come up with something “super unique and original”. Copying what already works is a shortcut. The good thing is that there are countless successful agencies in every single niche and industry.
So no matter what kind of agency you’re trying to build, you’ll find some successful guys you can copy. Now, every time you model someone, you need to understand WHY is it working for them. Why do they get so many leads? Why are these guys delivering great results? Don’t copy just from the seek of copying or you won’t be able to book a single call. Now, if you’re getting started with your agency or if you’re redefining a client offer, do the following → Take an entire day to research and find 5-10 examples of businesses in your industry that are absolutely crushing it. Now take a look at their website, at their results, at their statements. What do all these businesses have in common? Take notes. Success leaves traces. Do you know how I got my VSL structure? Or my LinkedIn strategy? Or my Email angles? Modeling. I paid attention to what the winners in my industry were doing and just took it, added my own ideas and voice, and made it work. Most people don’t know how to learn, but if you do, building better offers will become easier. Find patterns → Understand why an offer is working → Copy what’s already working + Add your own ideas.
