If I’ve learned 1 thing in my last 6 months on Twitter…
It’s that the way you position your offer matters more than the offer itself.
And I’ve also learned that you’re rewarded for being unique.
The way you POSITION yourself on Twitter will help you land the most clients.
Why?
Because your positioning is your unfair advantage.
No one can take YOU away from your offer.
You have unique skills, experiences, and capabilities that no one else has…
That you can combine into how you deliver results.
For example:
You’re boxing yourself in a corner if your positioning is
“I’m a ghostwriter” or “I do content repurposing”
Nothing wrong with that. But do you notice how many other guys are the exact same thing?
You have more skills beyond “ghostwriting” or “content repurposing”
And these are what you need to bring into your offer.
Understand that your clients want the same outcome:
“5,000 followers in under 90 days” or “10 booked calls per week” or “10,000 TikTok followers”
That won’t change.
But the question is…
What type of followers do they want? What type of booked calls do they want?
This is where you can be unique. You can focus on getting your client an “engaged audience” or “qualified booked calls”
Then you can measure these terms by defining what an “engaged audience” means.
But you have to be different in the way you approach delivering the desired outcome.
You have to combine other skills you have into delivering your clients to their desired outcome.
Because it takes a lot more than “writing” or “video editing” to grow a Twitter or TikTok account.
Otherwise everyone would have 5,000 followers and would be generating inbound leads.
So this is where positioning comes into play.
You have to take a unique angle to “ghostwriting” or “content repurposing”
And then you have to prove that you’re an expert in that specific niche.
(more on that in the Inbound Marketing section)
Here’s some steps you can take to position yourself in a UNIQUE way:
- Figure out a unique way to deliver your clients from where they are now → desired outcome
- Outline your strengths, skills, and experience that give you an “unfair advantage” over other business owners in your niche
- Define EXACTLY who you’re targeting with your offer. Define the EXACT problems they’re having and EXACTLY how you can solve them. Get super clear with this.
- Understand how your competition is positioning themselves. Now outline what you do similar and what you do differently. Then find an angle that you can double down on that’s different from your competition.
In summary:
Find unique angles you can double down on to position yourself in a unique way.
Become the go-to guy in this specific angle.
I help [content creators] build an organic Tik Tok audience of 10,000 followers in 4 months by posting 30 high-value short-form videos per month.
Part of your process:
Take their existing videos (from a podcast or YT) and you repurpose them into Tik Tok videos
OR You have your clients record unediting content for 2 hours on video, then you chop it all up into short-form
